pg. 100-150

On March 12th, the entry is about how she breaks her students up into groups and gives them each a job when it comes to discussing the reading. I thought this was very interesting because this is the same thing we are doing in our class as we're reading the book. It is smart of Esme to give her students a date when the book is due, but nothing else. They learn to have responsibility and plan things out on their own. This is pretty interesting because this is a model of how college is, and they are getting that so early in their education. If the students can do that successfully now, they will have an advantage in the future. This is also teaching them to learn to work with people, and that's important for any career. It made me think that all schools should be doing more to be more like college and life after to prepare the students.
